PMpop 1.0 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright (c) 1994 AlterSoft. All Rights Reserved. INTRODUCTION PMpop is a Windows NT program which installs a popup menu for launching applications. The popup appears when double clicking on the desktop background. Instant setup (it uses Program Manager's groups). INSTALLATION Just launch pmpop.exe and you're done. After loading groups from program manager (which can take a few seconds), the popup menu will appear whenever you double-click, or click with the right mouse button, on the desktop background. PMpop uses Program Manager parameters such as default directory, running minimized applications, and launching Win16 programs in a separate memory space. UN-INSTALLATION To remove the popup menu, simply choose "Quit PMpop" in the menu itself. To remove the program from your computer, delete pmpop.exe. The program doesn't install anything else. LICENSE PMpop is shareware. Registration is US$ 10 (per user), GO SWREG (ID #3001) on Compuserve. This program can be distributed freely as long as it is not modified. SUPPORT Compuserve: 100041,375 Internet: 100041.375@compuserve.com KNOWN BUG(S) In Windows NT 3.5 (b612), when launching a Win16 app in it's own memory space, the current directory is PMpop startup directory. Disabling "run in separate memory space" in PM solves the problem. This seems to be a NT bug, although the reason why PM doesn't have this problem is not known.
